August 14, 1947- November 2, 2009. Ronald James Reynolds passed away
peacefully at home on the evening of November 2, 2009. Ron was born
August 14, 1947 at Stanford Hospital. Ron has made his home
throughout the Bay Area. Ron spent his childhood in San Francisco
and then Pacifica and moved to Sebastopol where he graduated from Analy High School in 1965. After attending two years at Santa Rosa
J.C. he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1967. The following year he met
his young bride Michele Cella of Petaluma and they were married on
August 17, 1968. Ron worked at Hunters Point and then went on to
serve on the USS Vesuvius during the Vietnam War. Back from Vietnam
he continued at Hunters Point until it's closure.

After active duty, Ron continued in Civil Service and the Naval
Reserves at Mare Island and on September 16, 1987 he proudly
achieved was the rank of Chief Electrician Mate. He retired after 28
years with the U.S. Navy January 1, 1995. Upon closure of Mare
Island, Ron took his skills to Solano Irrigation District, where he
finished out his career. Ron was an avid abalone diver who belonged
to the Diablo Sea Bears. He could cook one hell of an abalone feast.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years Michele; daughter
Christine Walker and her husband Johnny; son, Brian Reynolds;
parents, Richard and Patricia Logan; grandchildren Brittany, Curtis
and Sarah; Ron is also survived by countless extended family and a
host of friends and the dog, "Ol' Hank"
Interment with full military honors will take place at 9:30 a.m.,
Friday, November 6, 2009 at the Sacramento Valley VA National
Cemetery 5810 Midway Road in Dixon followed by a Memorial Service at
11:00 a.m. at VACA HILLS CHAPEL in Vacaville 524 Elmira Road in
Vacaville. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Kaiser
Hospice or
American Cancer Society .
